What is a For-Purpose Organisation?
A ‘for-purpose’ organisation is one that reinvests its profit back into operations to provide services or products to those they support. Also known as a Charity, a for-purpose organisation does not pay dividends to shareholders like a for-profit organisation might. Unlike a not-for-profit organisation, a for-purpose organisation runs its own social-cause-based operations and care based on the profits raised.
All profits made within a for-purpose organisation go towards bettering the lives of those the organisation supports. “SpoOCTacular #TheKindnessChallenge supports multiple for-purpose organisations and you can choose which organisation you would like to support when you register. In 2021, we supported Guide Dogs Victoria and My Room Children’s Cancer Charity.
